Some comments about Mr. Boardwalk are just so cool that we have to share them.
To understand this one, you have to know that when Jason Benson, the protagonist of the novel, first sees his dream house at the shore with real estate agent Monty Dweck, he takes note of the most important things: Are the ceilings high enough for juggling (that's his profession, after all)? And, hey, there's a little shower out back for rinsing off after the beach!
Jim Pyecroft writes:
"Read Mr. Boardwalk on the beach at LBI. Such a good read! When I got back to the house, I was very excited to use the outdoor shower! Ha! Sadly, the new homes on the island have luxury indoor bathrooms including baths and showers. Doesn't seem right somehow."
