On Small Business Saturday, November 29, Louis Greenstein, a.k.a. Mr. Boardwalk, will be at Main Point Books in Bryn Mawr, where the spirit of Kate Hepburn lingers, from 11:00 to 2:00. The store's address is 1041 W. Lancaster Ave.; telephone 610-525-1480.

Louis did a great reading there in June. Now he'll be helping to sell everyone's books as part of Indies First, a national campaign to promote independent bookstores.

Wherever you are, please go out to support your local indies!

Pynchon, Wallace, and Greenstein

The latest Goodreads review of Mr. Boardwalk is short and very sweet: "I loved it!" says Monica, who gives the book five stars.

That's too brief to be worth quoting perhaps, except that Monica's recent reads include David Foster Wallace, Thomas Pynchon, and Julian Barnes. We are proud to be in that company. (It appears that she doesn't much like Julian Barnes, however.)

Reminder: Louis Greenstein will be reading from Mr. Boardwalk at the Conshohocken Free Library on Wednesday, Nov. 12. See the previous post for details.

Yo, this building is a library, folks (notice the flag out front)! In this charming venue, the Conshohocken Free Library, Louis Greenstein will be reading from Mr. Boardwalk on Wednesday, November 12, 7:00 p.m. The address is 301 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Call 610-825-1656 for more information.

We love libraries that have character to them, and this one certainly does. Mr. Boardwalk is himself a character, so it's a good pairing.

The event is sponsored by PA Forward as part of the national Speak Up for Libraries campaign.
